Benefit Powderflage Powder Review

Benefit Powderflage Powder Review

Hi Guys! I'm doing this really small review of Benefit Powderflage powder, I've been using this powder for years. This is the only loose powder I use to set under my eyes and one of the best eye brightening loose powders I've used. This small pot has lasted me ages and after trying loads of loose powders I always come back to using this, it's great for flash photography because it has a hint of pink undertones and doesn't wash you out like normal loose powders.

I always use this powder after I have done my concealer/corrector, as this powder has a hint of pink undertones in it and it brightens up my eyes (which is perfect if you have dark circles like I do) When I apply this powder, I always use a fluffy brush to blend it in. This powder is also perfect if you have tired lines/wrinkles under your eyes (which you concealer sometimes sinks into) but if you apply this powder if doesn't sink into your lines, which I love!!.

This powder did come with a mini fan brush, but I honestly have never used it, I felt like it wasn't something I could use when I knew I was going to use my fluffy brush to apply this powder.

I hope this review was helpful

Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation Mini Review

Illamaqua Skin Base Foundation Review

When I got matched for this foundation, the makeup artist said I was Shade 3, when I usually NC15 in MAC so I was seriously suprised as I'm always the lightest shade. So if you can't find pale shades check out Illamaqua!!

Mini Review

I have just started using this foundation, and I really do like it. It's really light on the skin and makes my skin look glowy and dewy which I like for winter, as I usually use matte foundations. I haven't used it for long though and I like to use a foundation at least a month before I judge it. When I went into Illamasqua I wanted to try this foundation, as I've heard such great reviews and usually it is sold out as it's brand new. But when I went I spoke to the makeup artist and she recommended this foundation for me. It's medium to full coverage but you honestly don't need a lot of product as a little goes a long way and it makes your skin look airbrushed and natural. I honestly thought that I would be the lightest shade as in MAC I am NC15 but when the woman skin checked my skin, she said I was a shade 3. So when you get this foundation ask for a foundation test to see what shade you are, as they have a huge colour range.

I love the packaging but I don't like the fact it doesn't have a pump, because when it runs out or on the end of running out, it's going to be very difficult getting the foundation out. When I asked the makeup artist about using a primer or setting it she said I didn't need a primer as it has silicone in it. But I have tried it with/without a primer and I personally don't see any difference between wearing one or not. And when it came to setting the foundation with a powder she said I could use anything but said a loose powder will make it look more natural.

When I appy this foundation she recommend Illamasqua highlight brush but I've been using my MAC 105 and it really buffs into the skin and makes my skin look flawless. I've noticed in photos my skin looks amazing (even when I've had bad days). As you can see from the picture the Illamasqua highlight brush looks a bit lkike the MAC 109.

What Illamasqua says:

Easily blendable, it effortlessly creates a perfect complexion, and like the entire Illamasqua foundation range, is undetectable in a professional HD environment. Suitable for all skin types, it smoothes, softens and conditions your skin whilst providing natural, buildable coverage.

I really like this foundation, but I will do anothere post in a month's time and will let you know my thoughts and feelings about this foundation.

Hope you liked this mini review

Let's Get PhotoReady (Review on Revlon PhotoReady Products)

Revlon PhotoReady Review

PhotoReady Foundation
Vanilla

I know this review is a bit late, but better late than never! And to be honest I wanted to wear this foundation for a while before reviewing it. Because if you only wear a foundation for a week your not going to have the true effect of the foundation and you can't really judge it. So I've been wearing this foundation ever since I've got it, so about a month now and in fairness I honestly like it. I have been wearing it everyday and because of the weather my skin has been playing up loads, but when my skin has been ok this made my skin look beutuful and healthy. It does make your skin look really glowy and duwy.

As you can see from this photo, this foundation does wash you out. And I look very white.

I really like the packaging and I love the sanitary pump!! It's also a very controllable pump. You can get as much or as little product as you need unlike some pumps. The foundation itself seemed a little watery for a liquid foundation. But when I applied it with a stippling brush/Sigma F80 it went on pretty effortlessly. I would recommend moisturizing before using this foundation or using a primer. It will highlight dry areas. I don't find it too "glowy" or "shimmery" at all. I do find it ironic that this foundation is called PhotoReady being that it photographs terribly in my opinion. When I was taking photos, I looked very 'wash out' and white because the flash will reflect off the "light reflecting particles" in the foundation. I would call this a medium coverage foundation that is definitely buildable. I love the fact that this foundation does have an SPF of 20 in it which is a bonus. I think this foundation is totally worth a try. People seem to either love it or hate it, so you will need to try it for yourself to see if you like it or not.

I rate this foundation 4 out of 5

PhotoReady Concealer
002 Light

I honestly like this concealer, it's seriously creamy and very bendable. It's great for under the eyes and for spot treatment. I got the lightest shade and I love it, it's now my most 'reached for' concealer. I sometimes use this as a cream highlighter, when I need a corrector for under my eyes and I got a darker shade to use as a cream contour. As we know I prefer using cream products for highlighters/contours as it looks more natural than powders and this photoready concealer is a cheap option. Or you can use this as a cream foundation as all you need to do is apply thisd to all over your face and blend it with your fingers or with a brush.

PHOTO
As you can see from this photo this concealer is really creamy and blendable

I rate this concealer 5 out of 5

PhotoReady Compact
001 Vanilla

I love cream to powder foundations, it looks so natual but I've been really disapointed with this compact. I've heard such great reviews about this compact but I really don't know why but it doesn't do anything it's meant to. I have normal skin, I can wear everything or anything and I don't get oily at all and I rarely break out through foundations (yes i'm lucky) but this one honestly didn't do a thing for me, the packaging isn't that good, you can't get much product, the mirror is small and I used my fingers, sponge (that came with the compact) and MAC/Sigma brushes and it just made my skin look and feel horrible, didn't blend well at all even when I set it with a powder it made my skin look ashy and flaky. I honestly did not like this product, I would return it if I was allowed too. If I had a list of items I regret buying this would be one of them, really don't understand why this compact didn't work as all of the Revlon PhotoReady items I got are seriosuly good!. Let me know if you have this product and feel the same? Maybe I just have a bad one, let me know!!

I rate this foundation 0 out of 5

Maybelline Gel Eye Liner Review

Maybelline Gel Eye Liner Review

Hi guys. Just doing a small post about this Maybelline gel eyeliner, it's a fairly new product and I've been wanting to try it for a while now. I've been using it everyday for around a week and a half now and I honestly love it! I didn't really think I would as I always use my MAC fluid line, but as I fancied something new and didn't want to spend the extra money. My MAC fluidline always dries out very fast so I hope this doesn't, but we will have to wait and see (i'll keep you posted)

The Maybelline Gel Eye Liner is £7.99
(really good value for 2.8g product and a makeup brush)

MAC Fluidline 3g is £13.50

What Maybelline says:
  •   Designed to give an intense black line
  • The long-lasting gel formula means up to 24 hour hold
  • Easy to apply with the brush which is included
  • You can create different looks and intensities with this one product

For once, it actually lives up to all of these points. The staying power is incredible as I wear it everyday for work, going out and going to the gym and there is no need to set it with eyeshadow (which I do with my MAC fluidline).

I love the brush that comes with it. It's really nice and can also be used for a lip brush. I've washed it already and no sign of any fall out, so for a small brush it's doing well! This brush is great for making any kind of line you want, but I always do a cat eye and it's really simple to do. If you can't do eyeliner or find it difficult remember practice makes perfect and always have a makeup wipe handy for any mistakes.

When applying this eyeliner on my hand it was is creamy and is very black. Very comparable to MAC fluidline. I will do a review to compare them and see if you guys can save some money. (write a comment below if your interested to know if there comparable)

In this photo I am wearing Revlon PhotoReady Foundation (thats why I look 'washed out')

I really like how creamy this eyeliner is and the fact it comes with a FREE brush, I really hope Maybelline bring out different coloured gel eyeliners, would be nice to have a navy, violet or brown as there isn't many companies that do gel eyeliners in other colours.

My Christmas Wish List!!

My Christmas Wish List!!

Just a mini list of items I would LOVE to have at Christmas. Most of these items I have been wanting for ages to have and items I would love to have.

Danmari All About Cheeks Palette

I just looked on NARS's website and saw this AMAZING palette. It's NARS's best selling blushes in one palette, I only own a few NARS blushes and I love them! So when I saw this come out online I knew I would need to buy two of these palettes, as it will be sold out very soon.

£45

(which is a huge saving as each blusher costs £21 each)

In this palette it has:

Hungry Heart, Orgasm Blush, Desire, Casino, Super Orgasm and Sin Blushes

Get this while you can!!

Revlon 9427U Touch Control Mirror

I have wanted this mirror for ages! but it has always been sold out in John Lewis/Argos/Comet. But hopefully this year I will have it, it was 3 light settings (3 different light controls light/lighter and brightest which you can control with one touch) and 3 x Magnification.
£26.65
IKEA Hemnes Dressing Table

This is honestly my dream dressing table, every time I go into IKEA I have to see this dressing table. I think it's beautiful. It's something I have been wanting for years since I started collecting MAC as I used to use an old desk and a small hand mirror, but when my collection grew I wanted something classic and elegant. Now I will need a storage unit/chest of drawers to hold all my MAC (as I seriously have a large collection and it needs a nice home). But that will be another video as I need to buy loads of storage boxes etc.

£189

Sigma Complete Brush Kit (With Brush Roll)

We have all read the review, video and blogs about Sigma brushes. I have wanted these brushes for ages and hopefully soon I'll have both sets. It contains 12 Sigma brushes which any makeup artist/anyone who need basic brushes. They are all high quality and value for money. And as we all know these are very comparable to MAC brushes, So these could be cheap dupes to buy if your on a budget.

Premium Professional Kit with Brush Roll

Same as the other brush set, I have really wanted to get my hand's on this Sigma brush kit. It has all the brushes I could want and need for everyday/evening looks. Some of these brushes look a lot like MAC limited edition makeup brushes, so these brushes could be MAC dupe brushes, but I won't know till I get one.

Sigma Dry 'n' Shape

I have been wanting this Sigma Dry n Shape ever since it came out. I always thought it would be perfect for drying my MAC and Sigma brushes in hours instead of me waiting over night. There have been times when I had to wait over 24hours for my Sigma F80 brush because it was still damp, so at least when I have this this it will never be that long again. As you know this magic brush Dry’n Shape was designed to completely dry and shape your most dense brushes within 4 to 6 hours, guaranteed instead of 24hours, and because I own loads of brushes it will be a huge help as I'm a clean freak and clean my brushes almost everyday.

£29.94
(includes p&p from Genie Cosmetics)

Sigma Synthetic Essential Kit

I love these brushes. I own a few of these brushes and I use them every day. They are my ‘’go to’’ brushes are they are great for cream, liquid and powder products. When I get chance I will make a new video on how I do my foundation/how to contour/review on these Sigmax brushes.

MAC Lipstick
(Speed Dial and Creme Cup)

These lipsticks are my everyday/most reached for lipsticks, these lipsticks are my favourite and I wouldn’t mind another one for Christmas as I always run out of these lipsticks. Every time I go into MAC I always buy these lipsticks as I know that I have almost run out. I wear these lipsticks for work/going out or anything I’m always applying these lipsticks. As you can see I wear pink everyday (as you can see from these lipsticks) and they are both settle and look amazing with any lip gloss.

£13.50 each

Juicy Couture - Viva La Juicy Eau de Parfum

I love, love, love this perfume. Again it’s my everyday perfume it smells beautiful and is my signature smell. I always run out of this and it can be a little pricey so again wouldn’t mind if Santa (; got me some of this perfume lol.

Hope you liked this post

What is your Wish List??

Thanks for reading. Please keep reading, as going to do a lot more posts.
