Sigma Brushes - Travel Kit Nice in Pink and Premium Travel Kit - Sweet in Pink Mini Review.

Hi guys, just a quick post. I just bought these makeup brushes and thought you guys would like to see them. I am going away soon and didn't fancy bringing all my MAC brushes and my tool belt. As it’s just me going away, I didn't feel the need to bring my kit, so looked online and saw these cute pink brushes, I love pink, and I love mini sets, and after reading the reviews, I felt like I had to get them.

These are the bags the brush rolls come in.

When the box arrived, I was so excited. When I opened the box, the brushes are so cute, it comes in a pink bag and came with a little booklet that explained all about Sigma Makeup Brushes and what brush is best for what. If I was new to makeup brushes, personally I thought this was a great help, as it explains in great detail what the brushes are used for what. The brushes themselves came in good packaging; I was surprised as many makeup companies I have received brushes from haven’t used packaging like this. The packaging was made sure that brushes didn’t get damaged in any way (I like that a lot).

Travel Kit Nice in Pink

Premium Travel Kit - Sweet in Pink

Each brush, has its own numbers and has the Sigma Makeup name on it, and says what its best used for.
When I opened the case I washed every individual brush, (as I usually do with any new makeup brushes. I washed them with normal baby shampoo, just normal deep cleansing, as I would if I was cleaning them).

Most of the Large Black Brushes (e.g. / Sigma F30/ Sigma F25) did have black dye run through them while washing them. But like all brushes this does happen, so after you have wash them a few times it stops and doesn't happen again.

To make sure the brushes dried and kept their shape correctly. I bought myself the Brush Guard ( in the Variety Pack as it has (1 Shadow/Liner (ex. small), 2 Blush (small), 2 Foundation (medium), 1 Powder/Kabuki (large)) As I knew the variety pack would be perfect, as the Travel Kit and the Premium Travel Kit have different size brushes.

I will be doing a full review on these, as I have been using them for years on my MAC brushes and knew they would be perfect for these mini brushes.

I got them from:

Here’s The Look I did with these Brushes:-

This Look, I actually did in the back of a taxi. I was running so late, I just grabbed my makeup and these brush kits and had to do it in the back of a taxi. These brushes really saved the day lol.
As I did my foundation, powder, contour, blush and eyes. All with those brushes, it really helped as when I had finished I rolled up the brush rolls and stuck them in my bag. And no one knew (other than the taxi driver ;)) that I had done my makeup in the back of a moving car.

If you’re interested in how I did this makeup look please comment and I will make a video :)

I personally really like them, I have been using them every day since I've got them, they have been  kept in my handbag, so if I ever need them I can just grab them and go. I think they are value for money and great for anyone who needs mini makeup brushes or just needs brushes themselves. They cost me $116 that includes both Sigma mini brush sets and delivery for the UK (So that’s about £73.12 for 16 brushes as each brush roll receives 1 free brush). Personally I buy MAC brushes all the time and for £73.17 that’s usually 2 brushes if I’m lucky. So anyone who uses makeup or needs more brushes, these are perfect for you.

Good and Bad Points about these brushes:

I am very honest with my reviews. I want to be honest and fair.

  • Value for money. Compare to my MAC brushes, these brushes have amazing quality, and are very cheap for the amount of brushes you receive.
  • What a great idea for these mini brushes to be different colours. I love this shade of pink, very girlie and pretty. (I just wish they still did the full size baby pink ones. Instead of just black)
  • Great for traveling, as you have all you need in this mini brush roll.
  • The 'blending' brushes are top fluffy (E25/E55) they will lose their shape faster.
  • The large black brushes shed, and colour runs through them whiling washing them
  • When you apply clear nail polish to protect the name/brand label it rubs the name off a bit. (so be careful when doing this)
  • The brushes sometimes go flat when in the brush roll and you need to re-shape them while in a rush.
  • The eyeliner brush (E10) is square and hard to work with (I am use cream liners with it, just more difficult than my MAC one).
  • I wish Sigma has individual travel brushes, just like they do with the full size brushes.
  • They need a small angled brush!!! I need this brush every day to fill in my eyebrows and I wish they had one. Because I use that kind of brush for eyebrows/eyeliner/shadow etc. It would be a great help if they had one
  • The pocket is a great idea as you can put makeup in it. As not many brush rolls put pockets in their brush rolls, I'm so glad Sigma thought off this.
  • I love the fact you receive 1 free brush with these brush rolls.
  • They are very easy to clean, all I do when I'm in a rush is grab my MAC brush cleanser and a baby wipe and clean them while on the go. I've done this while on my lunch break and they were mega dry by the time I started work again.
  • The magnet is a great idea as you don't have to worry about making sure it's closed properly as does it for you.
  • Customer services are great help.
  • The pink bag that it comes with is a nice touch.
  • And the booklet I think that's a great idea, as many people don't know how to use brushes and it’s a great help.

Delivery:

When I ordered these brushes, I ordered them on Friday 3rd June, I got an email saying my brushes are being shipped to me on the Tuesday 7th June and usually U.S shipping take about 20 days to arrive to my address in the UK. I actually got them on 14th June, so it only took 8 days to be delivered.
While I was waiting for my brushes, Sigma sent me a tracking code, so track my package online, which I really liked.

Z Palette Mini Review

Z Palette Mini Review

Hi guys just a small review on a new way of storing my eye shadows and blushers. While having a lot of makeup palettes, it’s sometimes difficult to see what items I have. For example my MAC palettes fit 15 eye shadows but when I’m with in a rush to get ready I always seem to have to open all my palettes to see what colours they are, even when I have labelled them. With these palettes it’s has a clear window, so I can see what colours are what. Because it is an empty magnetic palette, I can simply remove my MAC eye shadows/blushers (because they have magnetic bottom they are prefect for these Z – Palettes) all you do is pop them into the palette, there are no slots just an empty palette. Pretty much the same as if you depotted your MAC 15 Eye shadow palette but with a window. (Popping out the MAC palette 15 slots and showing the large magnetic bottom).

I know that Z Palette have been around for ages but this is the first time I have ever bought them, I have always heard amazing things about them, but always been a bit worried as I have always used my MAC palettes. But I know after reviewing these I will have to buy more. :-) It saves time, and they look mega pretty.

These are my 2 current favorite blushes. MAC Well dressed and Springsheen

I bought these palettes from a website. I got the Z Palette Small Customisable Make Up Storage in Fabulous Pink, which fit 9 MAC eye shadows or 1 MAC blusher and 4 MAC eye shadows, or 2 blushes as you can see from picture. This palette cost me £8.99.

This Palette is my MAC browns and highlight eyeshadows from MAC.
These Z - Palettes are pretty much my ''everyday makeup'' (makeup I reach for everyday).

Here's the link for my MAC palettes so you can see how much space I have saved.
http://daniellelovemakeup.blogspot.com/2011/06/mac-palettes.html

I also bought the Z Palette Large Customisable Make Up Storage in Fabulous Pink which cost me £15.99 and I simply bought it in Fabulous Pink because I knew I would need it for my blushers and eye shadows and thought it would be great to match with my smaller one.

I will be buying more of these palettes; as I only got 1 large and 1 small this time, just to review them and they have 4 cute designs Black/Fabulous Pink/Zebra and Leopard in large and small. These pictures are some examples from the website.

Delivery:
I ordered these paletts on the 9th June and I recieved them just 11th June. And it only cost me £2.95 for post and packaging for the uk. A Bargain, compare to other companys that were selling Z Palettes.

The Website!!
I love this website, they have loads of great deals. I recommend them, there delivery is so fast and cheap. And I love all there products.
Tell them danni said hi ;)

Give away?????

Because I love these Z - Palettes, I am going to do a mini give away. I will post the video to my youtube account, stay tunned!!

Hope you guys enjoyed this post.

My New Dressing Table and Set Up ♥ ♥

My New Dressing Table and Set Up

Hi guys just a quick post to show you my new makeup station. I won’t show my old one, because it was just embarrassing. I love, love, love my new set up and wanted to share it with you guys. I have wanted this dressing table for so long, and I even wanted it so badly I actually made a Christmas wish list with this in it, and my amazing dad saw it and he went to IKEA and got it for me. Every time I went into IKEA I saw this and fell in love, I have been searching for a new dressing table for such a long time, and finally have found it and own it. It’s called Hemnes Dressing Table, it has a glass top which is great as my old one didn’t and had loads of marks and discolouration on the surface. There use to be two designs from the Hemnes Collection, one which has three drawers underneath it but I felt it was too high for me; it would be great if I was using it for standing up but I knew I would be sitting down while I do my makeup, but sadly that one has been discontinued now but the one which is available that I picked was perfect as it was low, but was high enough for my lighting.

In the 1st drawer which in on the dressing table it has my Toner and my Cleansing Lotion in it, with some back up makeup wipes. Just items I need to use before I go to bed and need to make sure all my makeup is removed and clean.

In 2nd drawer it just has makeup removers in it, same as first drawer just items to remove makeup befire I go to bed, or need to remove makeup in gereal. I usually have cotton pads in there as well, but they now live on top of that drawer as you can see in picture.

In the hidden drawer which is my favourite key feature of this makeup dressing table, as it has the perfect amount of space of my everyday makeup routine. I like to organise my makeup (as you will see with photos) and I was able to find clear plastic drawer organisers that fit perfectly in there (it's also from IKEA).

In My Tower of Drawers

My dad also got me this tower of drawers as I've never really had enough room for all of my makeup so these drawers I thought it would be perfect and I thought it was a quite good match to my dressing table. It has 9 drawers (5 small and 4 large). In each drawer I have have organised it so everything is together (e.g my eye shadow palettes together, my skin prep and prime together and my foundations together). There is tones of room left in my drawers and some of them are empty because I've organised all of my stuff together, which is perfect as my collection will only get bigger because I love makeup. So the photos I show you will be examples of how I've organised my makeup and what I've used to organise it. This is not a collection post but I will soon.
As you can see I also have my MAC Zuca on the right hand side of my dressing table, that also has makeup in it. But I will make a separate post about that, as I store a lot of my makeup in it and I always use it when I'm out or when I travel.

Examples of Drawers

Foundations

Some of my eyeshadow palettes:

Perfumes

Just to show you some of my ''Everyday/Most reached for Perfumes'' I have kept them on top of my makeup tower as they look pretty and kept with the theme of my room. And when I'm getting ready its easy to grab a perfume and go. My other perfumes are on a shelf in my room and there my more expenvive ones or ones I use on rare, special occassions, but my collection is getting stupid and I need to stop buying lol.

Clear Storage

I got all  of the clear storage I used in my dressing table and makeup tower also from ikea its
called GODMORGON collection, I have all of these in my Makeup Tower and in my Dressing table hidden
drawer to orgainse my makeup. I will be getting more and I will also get some acrlyic lipstick holders from eBay (I will make a post of them, when I get them) to orgainse my lipsticks.

Hope you liked this little blog post.

Hope you like my new set up and it will be changing all the time, but I will make regualr updates with photos etc. Will defo do an review on the dressing table and tower.

Any questions, please feel free to comment

MAC Palettes

My MAC Personal Palette Collection

Hi guys, just a quick little peek of my MAC Palettes. I have only depotted some of my crème blushes (before MAC released them into palette from).  I don’t depot any limited editions one, as usually I like the packaging or scared I will break them. This is my personal palettes; I tend to use these palettes myself/family or friends. I’m not sure why I always seem to tend to use my other mac/palettes on clients. But thought you guys would like a peek of some of my MAC collection.
If you guys are interested on how I depot MAC packaging I will try and make a YouTube video for you. I’m currently looking for a new camera, so will post videos up very soon.
