Laura Mercier Mini Haul

Laura Mercier Mini Haul

Just went shopping today and thought you guys would like to see what I bought :)

Hope you enjoy!

Laura Mercier -  Silk Creme Foundation
(Soft Ivory)

Laura Mercier -  Secret Concealer
 (Shade 1)

Laura Mercier - Colour Corrector - Mauve

Laura Mercier - Secret Brightening Powder

I will be doing a review on these items after i've tested them out.

I think I will be applying this foundation with a Sigma F86 brush to buff the foundation into the skin. It does suggest to use a sponge so I think the beautyblender may be the best result.

Sigma Brushes I Can't Live Without!!

Hi guys, I have been using Sigma brushes for a while now. And even though I have a lot of other branded brushes, I've noticed that I am using more Sigma brushes than my MAC/Chanel/Estee Lauder and Real Technique brushes etc.
So I thought I would do a blog post of my Sigma brushes I couldn't live without, or 9 brushes to buy for everyday makeup looks and what brushes you should actually spend your money on. These brushes I would say can be used for beginners and the expert makeup artist, as they are so versatile.

Starting from Left to Right, Sigmax brushes (F80/F82) these are a MUST buy!!! as they buff foundation in beautifully and gives you a flawless finish. Also helps that they are Synthetic brushes and can be used for liquid/creams and powders. I use these brushes everyday! for foundation and powder so a must buy for anyone applying foundation.

F25 brush is a tapered pointed large brush which I use to contour my face or to apply highlight. Because of the pointed tip it always applies the perfect amount of powder/cream to your face and allows you to buff/blend the colour very easily.

F15 brush is great for applying powder blush and bronzer. I also love using this brush for applying liquid/cream blushes. Because of it's a duo fibre brush it always applies the right amount of blush without applying to much. Also this brushes is the same as MAC 181 brush which was a limited edition brush and is now discontinued.

P82 brush is great for applying concealer, I love using this brush for thick/creamy concealers around my dark circles. Because its Synthetic I don't have to worry about any product getting into the fibres and ruining my brush. Also perfect for applying paint pots as it buffs creamy products really easy.

E55 brush is one of my favourite brushes I own as its great for packing on eye shadows on the lid. I also love using this brush for applying/packing on glitter and pigment because its very dense brush packs a lot of product without fall out. Another must have!.

E40 brush is a great blending brush, I have used this brush for applying and blending out concealer or applying loose powder for my under eye circles. It's great for applying/blending out eye shadows.

E25 brush is the best brush for blending eye shadow, its a dupe for a MAC 217 and that is my everyday blending brush. I think everyone should own a blending brush as it does all the work for you and makes applying eye shadow super easy.

E45 brush is my favourite brush for applying eye shadow into my crease! I use this brush everyday because it always apply the perfect amount of eye shadow and blends the colour into my crease super easy. I love, love, love this brush. I cannot do my signature everyday makeup look without this brush.

All these brushes are a MUST have for anyone applying/using makeup. I honestly use these brushes everyday and if I had to re-purchase any of my brushes again or would suggest all of these for anyone new to makeup I love these brushes and they are dupes to MAC brushes and as you all know I own a lot of MAC brushes and I use these more, so save your money and check there website out!!!

Loreal True Match Foundation

Loreal True Match Foundation

Hi guys doing this small review of a foundation I currently loving it's Loreal True Match Foundation. If you follow my blog or read my reviews, you might know I am a bit upseast with finding the perfect foundation for my pale skin, with this foundation I use the shade C1 (the lightest shade), as it states on the bottle it's super blendable, has a buildable coverage and the main reason I bought it as it states to colour match to the colour of your skin which is particularly useful to me as i am really pale and I do find it hard to find foundations that doesn't leave me looking orange!.
The foundation itself is in liquid form, and is held inside a clear bottle which has a handy pump which is quite rare for a ''drug store foundation''( I usually use 1 1/2 - 2 pumps for my whole face depending on the brush/fingertips and coverage). The actual liquid foundation is fairly runny so you do have to be careful when you pump it on to your hand that it doesn't drip off.
The foundation actually reminds me a lot of my Nars Steer Glow (which is one of my top favorite foundations). Because of the tiny, tiny specks of glitter in the foundastion it gives me the same ''glow'' as my Nars foundation.  When applying the foundation I find that it is fairly streaky if you are using a regular foundation brush and you have to blend some areas in with your finger to make sure it is all smooth, but if you apply it with a buffing motion with a flat top brush (like the sigmax brushes F80/F82/F84) it does apply better and less streaky! (but I have that problem with all foundations to be honest).

1 Pump of founfation, as you can see its very blendable.

As you can see the foundation has covered my spots/redness and dark circles.

I used my sigma F80 to buff this foundation into my skin and used two pumps for my whole face and neck.

Would I buy this product again?- I personally would, as it reminds me of Nars Steer Glow, has very good coverage and is super blendable. Has a good colour range, great pump and Loreal always has 3 for 2 offers in Boots/Superdrug UK so you can always get it cheaper.

Is it cost effective/worth the price?- I have had this product for about a month now and have used it most days and it is still going strong! Its a decent 30ml bottle so for the price that it is (RRP £9.99) and especially the price i got it (£6.99 at Tesco which I got at a special deal) it is definitely cost effective. As for it being worth the price i do think it is pretty reasonable and it is an okay product, but i would rather pay a bit more and achieve amazing results- that doesn't neccessarily mean it has to be a high end brand by the way - but for me paying £10 for an "okay" product just isn't worthwhile.

Would I repurchase? - Yes I would as it's cost effective as I feel it is a cheaper version of Nars steer glow and is a very good match to my skin tone (which is very differecuilt) also the fact it has a huge colour range from cool to warm tones and pale to dark.
